About Jensen Matthews PR

Our Story

Jensen Matthews PR is a global public relations and strategic communications firm headquartered in the UAE, founded in 2016 on a single belief: words move markets.

We advise the institutions at the centre of the financial system. Hedge funds and asset managers competing for allocations. Central banks and global banks whose statements move currencies. Family offices deploying generational capital. Financial technology companies rebuilding market infrastructure. And political campaigns whose words carry consequences of their own.

With deep roots in the Gulf and operating reach across Hong Kong, Singapore, New York and Silicon Valley, we guide clients through local market dynamics, regulatory environments and cultural nuance. From counselling central banks and payment schemes in the UAE to supporting digital asset firms in Hong Kong and Singapore, we sit at the intersection of finance, technology and policy in the world's fastest-growing markets.

Our work spans the full communications stack: reputation building, public relations, strategic communications, crisis response and market entry. Every engagement is led by senior counsel, delivered with institutional discretion, and measured against one standard: influence that shows up in outcomes.

Traditional PR meets PR tech. Institutional judgement, delivered at the speed of the news cycle.

Since 2016
20162016
10 YEARS

A decade of putting the right words in front of the right readers. Hundreds of thousands of them, written, placed and defended across the markets they moved.

The decade that rewrote markets

2016 → 2026

Ten years of shocks, manias and resets. We wrote through all of them.

2016

Brexit

Sterling suffers its worst day on record as the UK votes to leave the EU. Political language becomes a market force overnight.

2017

Crypto's first mania

Bitcoin runs from under $1,000 to near $20,000 and digital assets enter the institutional conversation.

2018

The trade war

Washington and Beijing exchange tariffs, and supply chains become a markets story.

2019

Aramco lists

The largest IPO in history prices in Riyadh and Gulf capital markets take the world stage.

2020

The Covid crash

The fastest bear market on record, oil below zero, and a stimulus wave that repriced everything.

2021

The everything rally

Meme stocks, SPACs and retail flows rewrite the rules of market narrative.

2022

Inflation returns

The steepest global hiking cycle in four decades ends the era of free money.

2023

Banks wobble, AI rallies

SVB falls, Credit Suisse is absorbed by UBS, and Nvidia lights the AI supercycle.

2024

Crypto goes institutional

US spot Bitcoin ETFs are approved and the AI trade broadens across the market.

2025

The tariff shock

A new US tariff regime jolts global markets, and policy language moves prices in real time.

2026

The next chapter

Capital rotates east, AI listings accelerate, and narrative remains the scarcest asset. Words still move markets.

Industries

Sector fluency, senior-led.

We advise across ten sectors that share a common condition: communications that carry regulatory, market or political consequence. Each practice combines fluency in the sector's constraints with the media relationships through which reputations in that sector are made.

Capital & Markets

JMPR / Industries / 01
Capital & Markets

Hedge Funds

Allocators form a view of a manager before the first meeting, drawn from the public record: coverage, commentary, the presence or absence of a credible institutional voice. For hedge funds this record is difficult to build, since marketing regulation constrains what may be said about performance and strategy, and many managers conclude that silence is the prudent course. We take a different view. Our practice builds institutional profile within the regulatory perimeter, through placement in the fund press, considered thought leadership, prepared broadcast appearances and disciplined milestone announcements, each drafted with the SEC Marketing Rule and equivalent frameworks applied from the first line. We currently run such a programme for a systematic manager based in ADGM, encompassing Bloomberg Television appearances and a flagship market newsletter.

Capital & Markets

Asset Managers

An asset management house is judged over cycles, by institutions assessing process and by intermediaries assessing brand, and both audiences read the same coverage. The firms that sustain a public house view, expressed consistently in the titles those audiences trust, hold a measurable advantage in distribution and in mandate discussions. Our work for asset managers spans house-view and commentary programmes, product and strategy launches prepared for institutional and intermediary readers simultaneously, and executive visibility across the fund management press and conference platforms, including FT Live. Placement relationships include the Financial Times, Citywire and MandateWire, together with the regional titles that carry weight in GCC and Asian distribution.

Capital & Markets

Investment Banks

The substance of banking is confidential, while the franchise is public, and reputation in this sector is built from the narrower set of material that can properly travel: sector perspectives senior bankers are prepared to offer, practice and hiring milestones, and transactions at the point they may be announced. We construct franchise programmes on that foundation, placed with the publications that keep score, including Mergermarket, IFR, Financial News, Bloomberg and Reuters. We are accustomed to working under NDA and around live situations, and we regard the discretion this demands as a basic condition of serving the sector rather than a constraint upon it.

Capital & Markets

Digital Asset Firms

Institutional journalists and allocators continue to apply a discount to the digital asset sector, and firms that have invested in licensing and governance are frequently read through the failures of firms that did not. The corrective is a communications posture that leads with the regulatory record: the authorisation, the framework, the institutional partners and the audit trail. We have applied this approach under the FSRA regime, managing the authorisation announcement for a private markets infrastructure firm and securing coverage across regional financial media that treated the company as what it is, a regulated financial institution. Our relationships span the specialist titles and the Bloomberg and FT desks on which digital assets are now an established beat.

Institutions & Infrastructure

JMPR / Industries / 02
Institutions & Infrastructure

Central Banks

Central bank communication operates under conditions that apply to no other institution: language moves markets directly, precision is a form of policy, and the same organisation must also carry national programmes to the general public in plain terms. We have worked at both registers in the UAE, supporting the public communication of a national card scheme and a national instant payments platform, with coverage in Khaleej Times and The National among others, drafted for consumer comprehension and cleared through institutional review. We understand the approval processes this work moves through and the discretion it requires, and we staff it accordingly, with senior counsel only.

Institutions & Infrastructure

Financial Infrastructure

Payment schemes, exchanges, clearing systems and core banking platforms are procured by committees whose central question concerns performance under stress. Reputation in this sector is therefore built in advance of any incident, through the steady communication of adoption, volume, integration and resilience in the language that banks, boards and regulators use, and through incident frameworks prepared before they are required. Our current work includes a sustained regional programme for a global cloud banking provider, comprising executive commentary, a monthly banking brief and platform appearances at the Gulf's principal financial technology summits.

Institutions & Infrastructure

Fintech & AI

Enterprise buyers, and the journalists who inform them, now discount unsupported claims in financial technology and artificial intelligence as a matter of course. Coverage that functions as evidence, naming the deployment, the counterparty and the outcome, has become the effective currency, and it is the standard to which we build. Our placement of BridgeWise's Dubai expansion and its partnership with Emirates NBD as a Bloomberg exclusive illustrates the approach: a proof-led story, told in institutional terms, in the outlet enterprise decision-makers cite. We run founder and executive programmes on the same principle across the financial and technology press.

Frontier & Influence

JMPR / Industries / 03
Frontier & Influence

Defence Tech

Defence and dual-use technology companies must build conviction among investors and confidence among policymakers while observing export controls, classification boundaries and heightened political scrutiny. The communications discipline this requires, constructing a complete and compelling narrative entirely from disclosable material, is unfamiliar to most agencies and central to our approach. We structure funding and contract announcements around what may properly be said, position founders as authorities on capability and policy, and prepare companies for the examination that accompanies government work. Target media span Breaking Defense and Defense News together with the FT and Bloomberg coverage through which the sector is increasingly valued.

Frontier & Influence

Space Tech

Space companies execute in public to a degree unusual even among technology sectors, with launches, demonstrations and anomalies occurring on the record, before two audiences moving at different speeds: governments procuring capability over decades and investors pricing execution by the quarter. We manage milestone communications that translate engineering progress into commercial trajectory, maintain the government-facing narrative alongside the market-facing one, and prepare anomaly protocols in advance, so that a setback is communicated with the same discipline as a success. Target media include SpaceNews, Payload and Aviation Week, alongside the financial press in which the space economy is now covered.

Frontier & Influence

Campaigns

Campaign communications proceed at maximum velocity under organised opposition, with every statement subject to selective quotation and immediate rebuttal. The campaigns that prevail are generally those with the greatest message discipline: a platform translated into durable public language, defended consistently through each news cycle, and delivered by principals prepared for adversarial settings. We provide message architecture, rapid response, debate and interview preparation, and coalition communications. Our founder has published analysis on the market consequences of political language, including an examination of the Trump and Musk exchange and the US$150 billion in market value it erased.
